Dr. Godson Eze is a Public Health Physician and Epidemiologist with a passion for change in the Nigerian health space. He has quite a panoramic view of the Nigerian health system; its strengths and vagaries, having garnered hands-on experience working with varied health organizations – local and international. He has worked with WHO/UNICEF/Rotary Polio Eradication Initiative filling various roles, including an international consultancy; The European Union (EU) in a partnership to strengthen routine immunization; The Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) providing care and support for Persons Living with HIV/AIDS; The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) studying sex workers, and a couple more organizations.

He is a stakeholder in the current move to adopt mobile technologies for healthcare in Low and Middle Income Countries and a member of the Society for Telemedicine and eHealth in Nigeria (SfTeHIN) which has implemented a few projects and currently seeking ways to sustain its gains and expand reach. He currently consults at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital and teaches Research Methodology among other subjects.

He holds a first degree in Medicine from University of Benin, two Master Degrees, and was trained a Community Physician with the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He also has certificates in Mobile Health and Sexual and Reproductive Health from Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER) – a WHO collaborating body.

It is his hope that one day, in the near future; his various experiences would culminate in tangible improvements in the Nigerian health system.
