Marie-Pierre Gagnon, PhD, is Full Professor at the Faculty of Nursing Science of Université Laval in Quebec, Canada. She is also member of the Research Centre of the CHU de Québec-Université Laval and the Research Centre on Primary Health and Social Care of Université Laval. Since 2012, she holds the Canada Research Chair in Technology and Practices in Health. Her research program focuses on the use of scientific evidence in the implementation of information and communication technologies in healthcare. She has led several funded projects looking at the adoption and integration of e-health applications in the healthcare system. Her other research interests include patient and public involvement in healthcare decisions, health technology assessment and its impact on decision making, as well as individual, professional and organisational determinants of innovation in healthcare systems. She is also interested in advancing methods for synthesising scientific knowledge, and developing the best practices in knowledge translation and application.
